Mean Girl Watch Your Back Again
Sixteen years afterward the film came out, Lindsay Lohan says she's still really good friends with the cast of Hateful Girls and she definitely wants to be part of a sequel.
The 34-twelvemonth-sometime gave us fresh hopes of a follow-up moving picture this week when she revealed that she knows the original cast will do 'something' - she just doesn't know 'what exactly'.
Lindsay - who played Cady Haron - was speaking about reuniting with Rachel McAdams (Regina), Amanda Seyfried (Karen) and Lacey Chaberton (Gretchen) on Zoom before this twelvemonth for a very 2020 go-together and how it felt like but yesterday that they all filmed together.
"It was really fun to practice you know the catching up altogether the reunion because it felt like - and they didn't air part of this - just it felt similar it was, we had all only seen each other the day before."
"It however feels like we know each other so well because we spent so much time with each other and we discussed how it's been working with each other that it's been, yous know, and so continuous over the years that it feels like we're all nevertheless good friends, which was really nice, to take hold of up with everyone. And so that was actually fun."
And then, Lindsay confirmed speculation that a follow-upwardly is in discussions, saying she'south desperate to be in information technology.
"It would be an honour to be a function of it, apparently."
Earlier this yr, Lindsay said it would be a 'dream' to revisit the character and picture again with her co-stars.
She told the Daily Mail service: "Of course, I would say yes. To come back with a movie like that would be my dream, to be honest, because I haven't done one in and so long. That would exist my ultimate."
Lindsay's not the merely one to back the thought.
Entertainment Weekly previously asked Lindsay, Rachel, Amanda and Lacey, along with writer Tina Fey, whether they'd be upward for doing the Hateful Girls sequel. Hither's what they said…
Tina Fey: "At the fourth dimension, we did wanna start the conversation near the sequel and for whatever reason I was like, "No! Nosotros shouldn't practise that!" Now I await back and I'thousand similar "Why?" Simply now, no-information technology's too late now."
Lindsay: "Why can't we do a sequel? Of us all grown up. To work with everyone involved in Mean Girls over again would exist an accolade. It was such a expert feel. I think it would exist really cool."
Rachel: "Oh God, I hadn't thought almost that! Yeah, I'd totally be up for that. Anything that Tina is at the helm of, I'd be into."
Amanda: "No. No, because you lot can't f*ck with that. You wouldn't do a sequel to Rosemary'south Baby or any Woody Allen picture show. You wouldn't do a sequel to The Shining. I can't believe I actually did compare Hateful Girls to that- simply, in its genre, it actually is special."
Lacey: "I think information technology would have to be everyone involved once more. I think Mark [Waters] would accept to directly; Tina would certainly accept to write information technology. If everyone would join again, I think they could make a movie. I think information technology'southward merely hard when you lot make something that's very special and beloved-you don't want the follow up to be a let-downwardly."

Now, this actually sounds like a decent idea for a sequel. Even though Tina and most of the cast have acknowledged that a reunion would NEVER happen.
